Austin Fiber Optics x Progreso ISD Spirit Shirts
Nothing says unity like 1,600 students in the City of Progreso, TX celebrating Spirit Day in their new Mighty Red Ant Spirit Shirts.
Each Friday during football season, the Mighty Progreso Fighting Red Ants will be sporting their new Progreso Red Ant Spirit T-Shirts to school and then to the Progreso football game later that evening.
The idea came from Progreso ISD Superintendent, Sergio Coronado. He reached out to Progreso’s local Fiber Optic Internet provider, Austin Fiber Optics and the plan was set in motion.
Together Progreso ISD and Austin Fiber Optics went to each class room to gather shirt sizes from over 1,600 students, teachers and faculty.
On October 13th, 2022 the shirts arrived and were distributed to every student & staff at Progreso ISD. The goal was to have the football stadium filled with RED ANT fans for their home game October 14th and every game in the future.
“It’s going to be a sea of red and I can’t wait to be part of it,” said Austin Yoder, founder of Austin Fiber Optics Internet. “We are really proud to be a part of this community assisting in the education process with our Fiber Optic Internet.”
